◊ As announced yesterday at the picnic, OVA is recruiting!

For the past year, OVA has been run by us, simply doing everything ourselves. Now we feel it's finally time to accept the help that has been offered to us so many times. Basically we're looking for people who are interested in helping us with certain tasks.
Such as, for an example - Advertising (making flyer's & putting them in the comic/anime stores around the city).
Planning activities (Similar to the event planners, but more specifically organizing games to be played at events).
Someone to scout out halls and other places to have bigger events such as dances.
Etc, etc.

Those are just some of the things that we're looking for help with. There are many other lil things, that we could always use help with. All of which, takes a huge load off of our shoulders.

Helping OVA does not mean, that by helping us you are not aloud to do anything else, other then being with OVA. We are NOT like that whatsoever. Obviously we will be putting alot of trust into those chosen, and with that we will expect some loyalty and respect. In the sense of course - If you say you're going to do something, we trust you're going to do that. Not just completely ignore it. If something happens and you can't do said task, we will understand. All we ask is that you let us know, and give us time to find someone else to do it. Not leave us hanging the last minute. If you have someone else that will do whatever it is for you, then that's perfect, but again, just let us know. It's all just a matter of respect. If we feel that we aren't getting that from you, well...You will know.

Each person that is chosen will be given officer status in the Facebook group. I also may be looking for some people to take on a MOD status on the forums. But that is an eventuality, and not the main focus.

So, for any of you who are interested in helping us, in any way, give us a shout. Either message myself or Jordan on Facebook. Or send us an email at ottawavalleyanime@gmail.com.

Also if there is any role that you can think of that may be useful in the group that you would like to do, again, send us a message. We'd love to hear what you guys have to say.

◊ OVA is now on Twitter!

OKay, for those of you who have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Twitter is the newest social networking site, like Facebook. However, Twitter is more about the Status. What you're doing, what others are doing. There's no applications, no spam, no groups. Just simply updating your status, and following others to see what they're up to.

So for any of you who are already on Twitter, or are planning on joining. You can follow us at - http://www.twitter.com/OVAnime

You'll also be able to find myself, as well as Jordan & Clayton.

In other OVA news. I am currently in the process of updating our website. As you can see, we now have a news section. You can also find our Youtube page, as well as our Twitter page. Also I'm finally adding all of the photos from our events to the gallery as well. So be sure to check out our site, if you haven't already seen the photos.

If there are any videos or pictures you'd like to share, to be added to the site. Send 'em along to our email address - ottawavalleyanime@gmail.com
If any of the pictures or videos you send, are not personally your's, be sure to let us know. Since everything that is sent, will be credited :3

Also a reminder regarding our upcoming event. We want to hear from you!

Here's what we're looking for.
Suggestion on dates - Preference on before or after Anime North?
Activities - What do YOU want to do at our next event? Games or any other relatively active things we could do to keep everyone going and excited.

Anything and everything, we wanna hear it. So post here, on our forums, PM us, heck even email us. Let us know your ideas!
